ye but an oxymoron is composed of two words, so u cant say that oxymoron is an oxymoron, it has been constructed like that, i mean an oxymoron is used to express somethin though opposition, whereas the word itself is made to 'name' it, and has no meaning beyond the meaning it has been made for

no, i didnt smoke weed.

First of all to make this clear: an oxymoron can include one word or a whole sentence, it doesnt have to be 2 words.
The construciton of the word oxymoron is chosen on purpose, the inner contradiction in terms is a punchline to show the multimeaning content of the word, which mirrors the varied facts

id like to know where is the multimeaning in 'oxymoron'

'The construciton of the word oxymoron is chosen on purpose'
i agree, but a true oxymoron has to create an emotion or somthin like that, oxymoron itself is just a basic word which designate a literature figure, not much style in it

@gus culture is like jam, the less you have, the more you spread
but gus, when you have none, its hard to spread it Smile

i try to explain it again...a bit easier now...
You could translate oxymoron with "intelligent idiot" (its greek btw).
that's an oxymoron, or in this translation it would be a "Contradictio in adjecto", which is a kind of an oxymoron.
So the term "oxymoron" isnt just a word...it shows the inner contradiction of this kind of lyric

and btw "a true oxymoron" doesnt have to create an emotion, it has to create a contradiction^^. That's the sense of this kind of lyric

btw owned gus^^

rabbit

an oxymoron doesnt 'create' contradiction, it uses it rabbit
idc about the translation, because i know it has been built that way (ive read it was not inteligent - stupid but something like acute - blunt or w/e)
i mean, oxymoron is composed of contradictory terms i agree, but it has been made like taht and it creates nothing but a definition. its not an oxymoron.
lets quit talking about this, thats like me critisizing steeve's music and vice versa ^^

giev us a hint pls steeve, name of the actress for instance :(

I will explain it in french for him!

C'est une oxymore, c'est une figure de style au meme titre que les metaphore, anaphore etc
c'est comme par exemple on dit:
La clarté obscur
Sa hater avec lenteur
Un nain géant
Un silence assourdissant
etc
Sa désigne une réalité contradictoire ou fortement contrasté

I hope it helps
